Every member of Apparelmaster New Zealand is committed to conducting its business in a way that strives to minimise adverse effects upon the environment, and deliver benefits to all stakeholders from our employees to our clients.

This will be achieved through:

Environmental Legislation
Keeping up to date with and complying with environmental legislation and local government policies and plans.

Waste minimization
Minimising waste through recycling of products where appropriate and disposing of any waste in an environmentally acceptable manner.

Product
Purchasing and providing goods and services that are manufactured, used and disposed of in a way that has minimal adverse affects on our environment.

Energy & Water Efficiency
Improving energy and water efficiency through wise investment in energy efficient technology including machinery and company fleet and considering alternative energy sources where available.

Staff
Consulting with staff on environmental matters and training them on the efficient and safe use of all plant and equipment so as to meet the company’s environmental objectives.

Customers and our community
Communicating our commitment to the safe keeping of the environment to our customers and the wider community.

Continuous Improvement
Regularly monitoring and reviewing the effects our operations have on the environment and using the results to develop smart, practical measures aimed at reducing the adverse environmental effects of its activities.

Apparelmaster Environmental Polocy

In the months ahead you are likely to see the above logo on more of our Apparelmaster vehicles. This is carried by members of the Apparelmaster group who have either:

achieved over 90% pass in the ‘Sustainable Business’ category of the group’s internal audit; and/or
received formal recognition by way of an award for their Sustainable Business practices from an external group such as InStep, Sustainable Business Network and regional councils.
