Issues with On-Site Laundry

Before working with McCallums Apparelmaster, Prime Range Meats relied on their On-Premise Laundry (OPL). This instigated various difficulties for the company regarding reliability, the disappearance of gear, and ageing laundry machinery. The risk to Prime Range Meats as a company was proving to be too high, especially if the laundry was out of action for some reason. The company made a call that it was time to outsource laundry of core workwear for the team.

McCallums Apparelmaster were engaged to supply and launder the necessary garments. McCallums provided Prime Range Meats with Food Industry Workwear (whites) - both tops and bottoms – for the 135 staff on the floor. This workwear is essential as workers cannot be on the processing line without them. Health and Safety and hygiene standards are strictly monitored and McCallums Apparelmaster adheres to and meets all codes in the food industry, so their clients are assured they are in good hands. They also supplied mats and towels for the showering area. The mats kept the slippery areas safe and towels are picked up, laundered hygienically to the highest standard and delivered daily. The team at Prime Range Meats have found the mat rental and laundry service to be easy, convenient and less hassle than dealing with mats themselves. Wipe cloths are also supplied to clean various work areas.

The workwear is scanned and sorted at the high-tech McCallums laundry and repairs are taken care of on the go. Instead of relying on OPL, where the gear might have been damaged and a new set provided, McCallums Apparelmaster assists Prime Range Meats in saving a significant amount of income and stress – and it fits well within the Apparelmaster philosophy of sustainability. Prime Range Meats now get a daily delivery of workwear in all sizes at 5.30am with 3-4 sets on hand at all times.
