In May 2018 the Apparelmaster Group celebrated four decades of keeping New Zealand covered at work with a special 40th Anniversary Conference in Wellington. The event provided a wonderful opportunity to look back at all of the incredible people who have helped to make the business the success it is today, and to bring together many of the Group’s partners and suppliers to mark the special milestone.
In fine tradition, the Friday evening of conference was hosted by Apparelmaster’s marketing partner Cavalry Marketing & Design, where guests enjoyed dinner, drinks and a night of fundraising on behalf of the groups’ primary charity partner – Life Education Trust. Apparelmaster Group has supported Life Education Trust for over 4 years now, and each year takes the opportunity at conference to dig deep and raise as much funds as possible. This year saw a combination of major auction items – kindly donated by both Apparelmaster licensees and supplier partners alike – and Charity Bingo with more than $4,000 in prizes on offer from the night’s sponsor Cavalry.
Chief Executive of the Life Education Trust , John O’Connell, was, once again, stoked with the results.
“Apparelmaster’s ongoing support is great to receive, not just their financial support meaning we can do things we might not have been able to achieve, but their people getting involved in our local Trust’s as volunteers.”
With a healthy competitive spirit in the room, and a wonderful cause to work for, the stage was certainly set to make magic, which it did – coming in with almost $12,000 raised for Life Education Trust – one of the best totals raised on one evening by the Group. Prizes included items such as John Kirwan’s latest book, bottles of Moet, a Bose sound system, Dash Cam, and Whitebait!
